The toolkit helps people talk with their healthcare providers about cancer screening. It has culturally appropriate cancer information for First Nations, Inuit and Métis people, and their healthcare providers.

Steps in Cancer Screening – Guide for First Nations Community Members in Northwestern Ontario

The screening guide outlines the steps in breast, colon and cervical screening. It provides information for First Nations communities in Northwestern Ontario. It was developed in partnership with Wequedong Lodge of Thunder Bay, as part of a cancer screening research project.

Cancer Screening Posters

These culturally appropriate posters help promote cancer screening and support prevention initiatives in First Nations, Inuit, Métis and urban Indigenous communities. Health centres, Friendship Centres, community centres and others can use these posters to raise awareness about the importance of cancer screening.

These postcards are tailored for Indigenous community members and healthcare providers servicing Indigenous communities. They can be used as handouts to help promote cancer screening and support prevention initiatives.
