Accessing Data

CCO collects and manages one of the most comprehensive healthcare data sets in Canada. Data and analytics are integral to meeting the growing demand for greater health system accountability, better health outcomes and improved patient experience. We produce and disseminate mortality (death), incidence (new cases), survival and prevalence (commonness) statistics, which can be viewed by cancer type, demographic factors and region. To learn more about CCO’s current data holdings, go to Access Data.

How to Access the Data

  • iPort™ – Our web-based analytic portal is for cancer system planners, decision-makers and clinicians.
  • Ontario Cancer Registry SEER*Stat Package – Our package allows analysts to produce incidence and mortality statistics for studying the impact of cancer on the Ontario population.
  • Unique Data Requests – By request, we can provide customized data sets from our extensive data holdings to support a research study or to support health system planning requests for aggregate or de-identified, record-level data. Visit the CCO website to request data for research or to request data for health system planning.
