The Erie St. Clair Regional Cancer Program oversees the quality and delivery of cancer services for the areas of Chatham-Kent, Sarnia/Lambton and Windsor/Essex.

Windsor Regional Cancer Program

Located on the Metropolitan Campus of the Windsor Regional Hospital, the cancer program at Windsor Regional Hospital delivers a broad spectrum of cancer services to the residents served by the Erie St. Clair Regional Cancer Program. The program includes inpatient services as well as a 73,000-square foot, $22-million outpatient cancer centre. By bringing together highly experienced, knowledgeable healthcare professionals with state-of-the-art equipment, the program delivers the best possible cancer care. Completed in 2001, the award-winning design of the cancer centre has been hailed as a fine example of how the carefully considered aesthetics of a care environment can enhance the patient experience.

Jonathan Foster

Jonathan Foster is Regional Vice President, Cancer Services at Windsor Regional Hospital. He leads the hospital’s cancer clinicians and care providers, and collaborates with regional partners to further the goals in the Ontario Cancer Plan 2020 to 2023.

Jonathan has an Honours Psychology degree from the University of Windsor and a Master of Social Work from Wayne State University in Michigan.

He previously worked as the director of Mental Health and Renal Programs at Windsor Regional, and served as regional renal director in the Erie St. Clair Local Health Integration Network through the Ontario Renal Network.

He has been Vice President of Emergency Services and Mental Health since 2020. Jonathan also served as director of the St. Clair College Campus Field Hospital for people with COVID-19 coming from long-term care homes.

Jonathan has served on various committees both provincially and locally, contributing to palliative care, person-centred care, and mental health system design. He has a recognized passion for improving the patient experience, collaborating with patients and families and forming strong relationships with regional partners.
