PET Capital Investment Strategy
The strategy provides a long-range roadmap for hospitals, Regional Cancer Programs, and the Ministry of Health for investment in PET (Positron Emission Tomography) machines needed in Ontario.
The strategy aims to sustain and improve equitable access to high-quality PET scans to meet growing need.
Highlights
- Recommends the addition of 6 PET machines in the province by 2028 so that all 14 Regional Cancer Programs have them
- Includes insights learned from the first strategy in 2019
