Guideline Objective

To provide specific, actionable recommendations that will enable public health and other professionals working in chronic disease prevention to make decisions about the provision and support of programs and resources for the promotion of healthy eating and physical activity.

Patient Population

Ontario adults and children.

Intended Guideline Users

Public health and other professionals working to prevent chronic disease in Ontario, as well as other individuals or institutions that might take a leading role in implementing the recommendations.

Research Question(s)

What population-based strategies should be used by public health professionals, and other professionals working in chronic disease prevention, to prevent obesity among adults and children in Ontario schools, workplaces, and communities?
