Measuring Cancer in First Nations, Inuit & Métis Populations

We have created educational resources to help you understand:

  • the 4 main types of cancer statistics (incidence, mortality, survival and prevalence)
  • why these statistics are important
  • how we compare cancer in different populations
  • how we collect cancer information in Ontario

First Nations, Inuit and Métis planners, policy-makers, and healthcare staff can use these videos to understand the meaning behind cancer statistics and how to use them in health planning and priority setting for their populations and communities.

Order a Printed Guide

If you are unable to access the videos online, you can request a printed guide explaining cancer statistics. Please email us to request a copy. Be sure to include your mailing address.
