The South West Regional Cancer Program oversees the quality and delivery of cancer services for the counties of Grey, Bruce, Huron, Perth, Middlesex, Oxford, Elgin and part of Norfolk.

London Regional Cancer Program
The London Regional Cancer Program (LRCP) at London Health Sciences Centre is the regional cancer centre serving residents within the South West region of Ontario. The program has been providing the highest quality care to patients and their families for more than 50 years. With over 21,000 active patients, and over 185,000 visits annually, LRCP is the largest cancer service provider in the region.
The program offers inpatient and outpatient cancer care including radiation treatment and chemotherapy, as well as a full range of support services to help cancer patients and their families throughout the treatment process.

Cancer Care Ontario Regional Vice-President, South West Regional Cancer Program
Sandra Smith
Sandra Smith is Regional Vice President (RVP) of the South West Regional Cancer Program (Cancer Care Ontario) and Capacity Management Executive at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC). In her role as RVP, Sandra leads the South West Regional Cancer Program and LHSC’s London Regional Cancer Program, advancing our collective mission of delivering quality cancer care to London and the region.
Sandra has more than 20 years of experience working in a number of health care leadership roles, including serving as Director of Ontario Health West before joining LHSC as Executive Director, Office of Capacity Management in 2022. She’s led the way on multiple initiatives that have allowed Ontario hospitals, their staff and provincial officials to work collaboratively to improve patient access and flow.
Sandra holds a number of credentials including an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University, Master of Nursing from University of Toronto, Bachelor of Science (Nursing) from Ryerson University and Bachelor of Arts (Commerce) from University of Toronto. Sandra also holds an Agile Certification from GE Healthcare and a LEAN Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
