Stem Cell Transplant Program

Cancer Care Ontario, in collaboration with stem cell transplant centres, works to improve access and quality in the treatment of adult patients in Ontario. We receive strategic and clinical guidance from the Stem Cell Transplant Advisory Committee.

We also work with the Program in Evidence-Based Care to develop clinical best practice guidelines and recommendation reports to ensure patients receive high-quality care.

Hematopoietic Cell Therapy Review Committee

The Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation Review Committee works to enhance access to stem cell transplant for Ontario patients. It provides a streamlined, transparent and objective process to facilitate the review of cases referred for out-of-province and out-of-country stem cell transplant.

Referring physicians can bring a case forward for discussion with the Hematopoietic Cell Therapy Review Committee by emailing the conference coordinator Nasra Hussein.
