Clinical Trials - Radiation Treatment

People with cancer may have the opportunity to participate in clinical trials involving radiation treatment as part of their care. In some cases, clinical trials can help improve patient outcomes where traditional treatment is not effective.

A clinical trial consists of a radiation intervention where the dose, fractionation or the technique, is not as per standard of care. The Radiation Treatment Program will review the details of the submitted trial and advise which standard of care protocol will be used for the radiation intervention of the trial.

We encourage applicants to apply for review as the trial information becomes available.

Clinical Trial Requests

To request a new clinical trial protocol:

Step 1: Download and complete the Clinical Trial Protocol Intake Form.

Step 2: Be sure the form includes detailed information about the clinical trial, and sufficient supporting evidence that it would be considered standard of care.

Step 3: Submit the completed form and any questions or concerns by email to OH-CCO_rtclinicaltrials@ontariohealth.ca.
