Guideline Objectives

Kyphoplasty and vertebroplasty can be an appropriate treatment option for select cancer patients. These recommendations provide the basis for delivering vertebral augmentation for cancer-related vertebral compression fractures in Ontario. The aim is to ensure timely access to high quality, effective and sustainable care. The recommendations are based on best available evidence, the current practice in Ontario and consensus of experts in the field.
