Screening sites for breast cancer are located across Ontario. Women ages 50 to 74 can call the nearest Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) site to make an appointment. A doctor’s referral is not needed.
Women ages 30 to 69 who think they may be at high risk of getting breast cancer can speak with their doctor about being referred to the High Risk OBSP. Women can get screened through the High Risk OBSP if they meet certain criteria.
Women who require more tests after their initial breast cancer screening can visit a site that provides breast assessment services. These sites offer high-quality diagnosis and follow-up, as well as information and emotional support.
